Historian turned journalist Seth Frantzman has just published a very well researched book on drones and their military applications called 'Drone Wars'. He speaks with Eve Harow about this fascinating new field of warfare and what the future holds as it develops further. They also discussed the field of journalism and the lack of balance in what global stories get coverage. His personal experience of discovering the evidence of the ISIS genocide of the Yazidi tribe led to his previous book on the terror group (misnamed ‘insurgents’) and some of the horrors they perpetrated. Seth is recognized by his readers and fellow correspondents for excellent writing and a lack of political correctness in his desire for honest reporting. This is an interesting interview and his books enlightening, albeit not comforting. It’s a tough world and we rarely learn what’s going on in an in depth way.
