At the same time as reports show that Israel did in fact target a secret Iranian nuclear facility last month, it seems that Iran is preparing for the reality of another Trump Administration, and at least on paper is softening its positions. Iran has now apparently given Hezbollah the green light to negotiate an end to the war in the north, while at the same time Tehran insists it is no longer trying to assassinate the president elect. Iran certainly can’t be taken for its word as the regime continues to pursue nuclear weapons, but there is no doubt that while they might not like President Trump, they certainly respect his demonstration of strength.
