The IDF this week signed an order, which allows Israelis to go back to the site of Homesh, one of the four northern Samaria communities dismantled along with 21 Jewish communities in Gaza, as part of the 2005 so-called “Disengagement.” There is currently a yeshiva at the site, but there is now optimism that the move will lead to the rebuilding of the community. Perhaps this will also lead to the rebuilding of the other three northern Samaria communities?
