Over the past several days, Jews have been attacked by Arabs on the streets of Jerusalem and Jaffa. In Jaffa the head of the community’s Hesder Yeshiva was assaulted in broad daylight. While attacks against Jews outside of Israel are labeled as anti-Semitic, Josh Hasten insists that hate crimes against Jews in Israel should also be labeled accordingly. Josh says that even as Israel has an army and a police force, a true deterrence must be created so that no one will dare attack Jews on the streets of this country.
