On today’s Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten speaks to Rabbi Shlomo Litvin who runs ‘Chabad Bluegrass’ – on campuses in various Kentucky universities and is in attendance at the current AIPAC 2017 Policy Conference in Washington DC. In addition to giving details about the lineup of prestigious speakers including US Vice President Mike Pence, Litvin says there is a lot of meeting of the minds in-between sessions especially amongst college activists who are sharing ways to support Israel and fight BDS on campus.

On today’s Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, an up-to-the-minute briefing on the tense situation in northern Israel with Dan Diker Senior Project Director Program to Counter BDS and Political Warfare at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Diker points his finger directly at Iran for the cross border Israel/Syria military incidents over the past several days. Ultimately he says that Russia is the key power broker in the Syrian quagmire, and hence Israel and Russian coordination is crucial in preventing any long term disputes between the two nations.

A week following Israel’s evacuation and demolition of nine family’s homes in the Binyamin Jewish Community of Ofra, a 17-year-old Israeli teen who snuck into the community to protest the move, and to support the families slated for eviction, shares her thoughts with The Land of Israel’s Josh Hasten. Despite undergoing trauma being dragged out of the houses, the teenager says that she has faith in Israel’s security services and its army, and is optimistic about the future for the Jewish People in the Land of Israel.

Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis arrived in Israel on Saturday night for a 24-hour whirlwind Congressional tour with the goal of finding a suitable Jerusalem location for the United States Embassy. DeSantis believes that US President Trump will uphold his election campaign promise and relocate the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in the near future. Speaking at a packed Jerusalem press conference and then one-on-one with The Land of Israel’s Josh Hasten, DeSantis said that he would find it difficult to believe that the president would spoil Israel’s celebrations marking 50 years since the reunification of Jerusalem, by signing a waiver delaying the embassy move.

On today’s Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, an interview with Knesset insider and Jewish Home Party Anglo Forum Chairman Jeremy “Man” Saltan. Saltan says that his party led by Minister Naftali Bennett is so far very satisfied with the statements and actions coming from the new administration in Washington. While there may be some differences particularly when it comes to building in Judea and Samaria, Saltan estimates that his party is happy with about 80% of what’s coming from the White House – representing a significant change from the past administration. At the same time Saltan says his party remains committed to applying Israeli sovereignty over area ‘C,’ throughout Judea and Samaria.

Following last week’s court-ordered demolition of the 40-family community of Amona, Josh Hasten argues that Israel’s High Court of Justice needs an overhaul.  He feels that the Amona demolition could have been prevented and the upcoming demolition of nine homes in Ofra could be shelved if the judges on the court would stop expressing personal biases in their rulings. Hasten says that Israel needs to change the way the justices are selected, and he hopes that the current Israeli government can implement those changes.

Women in Green Co-Founder Nadia Matar joins Josh Hasten to discuss her organization’s fourth annual Jerusalem Conference on strategies towards applying Israeli sovereignty over the communities of Judea and Samaria, to be held on February 12th. Matar says that when the original idea for the conference came about, her supporters were branded as “radicals,” but now she says, the concept of applying sovereignty has not only become mainstream, but polls indicate it is an act supported by the majority of the Israeli public.

Rabbi Joseph Gerlitzky, an author and chairman of the Rabbinical Conference for Peace tells Josh Hasten that while there is hope for change with a new president entering the White House, it is not President Elect Trump, but the Israeli government which must act to abandon the “two-state solution,” if it truly wants peace. Gerlitzky says that his organization for nearly three decades has been spelling out the dangers of the Oslo Accords, and says that according to Jewish Law it is forbidden to turn over even one inch of the Land of Israel to a foreign entity. He is hopeful that the Netanyahu government will once and for all realize that the two-state plan is an existential threat to the People of Israel.

Israel on Monday was in mourning burying four young IDF soldiers murdered in a Jerusalem Jihadist truck-ramming attack. Prime Minister Netanyahu suggested that the act was ISIS-inspired. On today’s edition of Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten interviews Dan Diker Project Director “Program to Counter Political Warfare at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and host of “Counter Terrorism Today” on IDC International Radio, to clarify the PM’s comments. Diker also insists that Israel must up its deterrence while he offers suggestions to prevent another similar attack.
