Dr. Martin Sherman Founder and Director of The Israel Institute for Strategic Studies suggests to Josh Hasten that Israel’s leadership didn’t take the necessary steps in advance to prevent last week’s anti-Israel UNSC resolution onslaught. He insists that the root of the problem is a combination of Israel holding on to the failed notion of a “two-state solution,” while at the same time he says that Israel continues to operate on a shoestring public diplomacy budget, thus we are failing to get our messages across. Also listen to Sherman’s insightful long-term alternative to the two-state approach.

On today’s Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten interviews Caroline Glick, Jerusalem Post Senior Contributing Editor, columnist, and renowned author to get her take on the anti-Israel UN Security Council resolution passed this week. Glick says that the resolution gives a green light to terrorism, lends support to the anti-Israel BDS movement and is a betrayal not only to Israel, but to the American people who are also seen as legitimate targets by the worldwide Jihad.  Glick says that despite the resolution there is a silver lining with a new US Administration on the way. She concludes that this Hanukkah we should learn from our Maccabee ancestors that despite the adversity, in the end the People of Israel will prevail.

On today’s show Josh Hasten speaks with Marc Zell Chairman of Republicans Overseas in Israel who is ecstatic about the appointment of David Friedman as the new US Ambassador to Israel.  Friedman’s nomination has drawn the ire of J Street and other extremist anti-Israel groups, but Zell and many others in Israel are excited about a potential shift in US/Israel relations thanks to Friedman’s pro-Zionist track record.

On today’s show Josh Hasten gets a report from Miri Maoz-Ovadia International Desk Director, Binyamin Regional Council on the latest from Amona. As of the broadcast, the community of 40 families near Ofra remains slated for demolition in the days ahead. Maoz-Ovadia says that while a rally is being organized in Jerusalem on Tuesday calling on the government not to destroy Amona, at the same time the Council is preparing for ‘the day after’ and finding humanitarian help for the residents who live there, and may lose everything.

The Jewish community of Amona in the Binyamin Region remains set for demolition per a High Court ruling, which would leave the dozens of families who live there homeless. Attorney Yossi Fuchs, the Chairman of the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel, tells Josh Hasten that the only way to prevent more communities from facing the same fate is if Israel applies sovereignty to all Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. But first, hear how Josh believes last week’s Palestinian Authority initiative to help Israel put out the arsonist fires was all a public relations stunt.

On an emotional edition of Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten describes the situation in Israel over the past several days in which terrorist arsonists lit hundreds of fires trying to burn Israel, and its people, to the ground.  But instead of destroying the Land of Israel, the fires have united a nation in a near unprecedented manner. Also on the show Ya’akov Katz Editor-in-Chief of the Jerusalem Post discusses the latest situation on the ground and also talks about last week’s Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference featuring Israel’s top political officials.

On today’s Israel Uncensored, Josh speaks to political consultant Ruth Lieberman who just returned from the US after working on the election campaigns of several pro-Israel Congressmen. Lieberman is now focusing on bringing more members of Congress to Israel to introduce them to the realities of the situation here, especially life in Judea and Samaria. During the interview Lieberman also applauds the recent policy shift by the US Jewish Federations, which would allow their missions to visit the communities of Judea and Samaria. Will the Federations take advantage of their new reality? Lieberman hopes that if you invite them, they will come.

Josh takes to the streets of Jerusalem for “man on the street” interviews asking born Israelis, immigrants and some tourists in the Mamilla Mall, who they believe will be the better US president when it comes to Israel. Listen to what the people on the Jerusalem streets have to say on the matter. It may surprise you!

On today’s Israel Uncensored Josh speaks to Efrat Mayor and new Foreign Envoy of the Yesha Council Oded Revivi who says that groups around the world are starting to wake up and understand the realities about life in Judea and Samaria. His Succot experience in which his invited breakfast guests, neighboring Arabs, were arrested by the Palestinian Authority, drew world headlines exposing the PA’s true identity.

Jihadist terror struck Israel again on Sunday with two Israelis murdered in a Jerusalem shooting. Fatah, Mahmoud Abbas’ party within the PA, praised the attacker as a martyr. As Israel buried her dead, Rabbi Guy Avihod tells Josh Hasten on today’s show that the attacks prove just how precious life is and how it can be snuffed out in the blink of an eye. Avihod then segways into the importance of the atonement process on Yom Kippur, which leads ultimately to our celebration of life through the building of the sukkah and the holiday of Sukkot.
